The whole thing started with a chance comment from a friend when he saw Lucy building a brick wall at the end of her drive - "Oh, she's a bit of a Geezerbird then!" This confused us for a few seconds as we'd not heard this 'Geezerbird' word before - then we decided we liked it!

This festered in amongst the brain cells for a while then started to germinate as we thought about the other no-nonsense ladies out there who are proud to be Geezerbirds and might want to show it. What better way than a range of t shirts that Geezerbirds can wear when they're doing their Geezerbird things! But... what to put on them?

Jim's background in sign making and Lucy's in health & safety combined into thinking about hazard warning signs which developed into our very first designs - "DANGER! Geezerbird at work" and "CAUTION! tough totty".

A hand-painted vulture design on a t shirt that a friend made himself many years ago lent itself quite nicely to the Geezerbird image so, with a bit of redesign to feminise it, this became the Geezerbird Gear logo.

As the business has grown, we've discovered there's two types of people in the world today: those who love the Geezerbird Gear t shirts... and those who just don't get it at all (you can tell because they seem to think men should wear them too. Hmm).
